The European Union blocks toxic Chinese milk and other contaminated products

The alarm generated by toxic milk and other children's products made in China has crossed borders. The seriousness of its consequences on the health of children, with several deaths accounted for in China, has determined that different countries have established their preventive measures.

Finally the European Union has decided to block the importation of all kinds of food for children or babies that contain milk from China as an ingredient, in order to avoid the risks of melamine contamination.

Formula milk, candies, cookies and other sweets are the affected products, and while the ban already exists on powdered milk, it will be extended to confectionery that may contain traces of milk contaminated with melamine.

Is about a necessary but insufficient measure because, as I have just seen in the news, both formula milk, candies and other Chinese sweets are still sold in many stores in Spain.

Hopefully, apart from preventing the entry of new dangerous products from China, it will be established comprehensive control on foods that are already on the shelves of the market and the withdrawal of those that may carry some risk to health is carried out.
