"The revolution of mothers": Laura Gutman's new book

Laura Gutman, of whom we have spoken other times in Babies and more presents these days in Spain his new book "The revolution of mothers".

His previous books, as MMar already told us, leave no one indifferent. For many mothers they are a revelation and open their eyes for a better understanding of babies and maternal feelings, however many other mothers do not see it this way and label their theories as radical.

In this new book Laura Gutman It focuses on the concept of parenting from the need for mothers to generate the revolution and the change that today's society and therefore children have demanded loudly for a long time. In a recent interview he confesses "niñólogo: I bring the voice of the children"and talks about the dichotomy of current mothers who work and fight to try to raise their children in the best possible way: "Work is not an impediment to the love bond, but our complicated, painful past stories are," in reference to the difficulty that many adults of today have to give, to give affection, probably because of emotional wounds and lacks of our childhood not exceeded.

And not giving the time, love and affection that children need can end up creating difficulties: "A child who is not satisfied with his basic needs is a child who will then need more and will be asking displacedly."

A displaced request or demand is one made by a child when he does not get what he needs (asking for material things with insistence, shouting, crying, getting angry, etc.).

His intention with "The mothers revolution" it is to show mothers that, if they let themselves be guided by their hearts, they are able to raise and educate their children without the need to follow the current rules and dictates that suggest letting children cry in their cribs, stop breastfeeding or pay attention to doctors in terms of parenting "Because on parenting I can assure you that you have not seen any subject. Women, unfortunately, we feel very fragile and very childish, so we believe what anyone tells us."

Mothers have the key that opens the lock of a new society. They are the ones that can raise the adults of tomorrow from a more respectful and affectionate vision. For this they must assume that great power and make use of it because they and only they they are the ones with the strength to generate the social revolution.

The book will be presented this afternoon in Madrid with free admission and signature of copies at 7:00 p.m. in the Cervantes Hall. Casa América Recoletos Walk 2.

In Barcelona it will be on February 28 at 6:30 p.m. at the Hotel H10 Marina Barcelona. Av. Bogatel 64-68.
