It seems that children also disturb planes

In Babies and more we have echoed several times in various places or events where children seem not to be welcome. These topics are usually news because they are a sample of what picky eaters that we become adults and of the discrimination that we get to exert on children, as if we forgot that years ago we were also children.

This time we will talk about air travel, since It seems that children also bother on flights.

Skyscanner, a search engine for cheap internet flights is carrying out these days, on its website (I say it is still active), a survey about travel preferences that focuses on the presence or not of children. 53% of the participants responded that they would prefer to travel in an airplane in which the children were in another area or in which they were not directly.

The survey includes several options and 53% can be broken down as follows:

  • I have no children and I would like to sit as far away from them as possible: 38.5%

  • My children know how to behave and I would not like to sit near the children of others: 7.7%

  • I would prefer flights "without children": 7.7%

Of the three elections the most incredible in my view are the last two. Those who prefer flights without children, because they directly exclude children from flights, simply because they are as they are (that is, because they are children) and the others because it turns out that their children are model but would prefer to sit away from those of others , sure they are not.

The remaining 47%, those who are not contrary to children, have responded to the following options:

  • I have children and I would like to be in the area for families: 15.4%

  • I don't have children but I think people should be able to sit anywhere: 15.4%

  • I'm a father and I think people should be able to sit anywhere: 15.4%

The former agree to carry out a reorganization inside the plane, separating passengers according to whether they have children or not, to avoid disturbing. The latter, despite not having children, believe that everyone has the right to sit wherever they want and third parties think the same, with the difference that they do have children.

Those responsible for Skyscanner comment that they carry out said survey because "We not only worry about offering the cheapest flights, we also analyze all the industry trends and try to anticipate what is to come" and add that "The creation of a special section for adults without children, or only for families could be a good idea to implement, especially on flights to Paris or Orlando, if the traveler wants to avoid noisy flights to Disneyland."

I don't know what you think about it, but to me so much disintegration and so much discrimination towards children starts to bother me a lot. First because, as I say, we were all children, second because I think they have the same rights as adults, but more because they are people with fewer resources than adults in every way and third because tomorrow they will be the ones who dictate the rules.
