We have been at the event organized by Caser Insurance called Basket Invaders on September 15, 2012. For seven hours the children have been able to play in the Plaza Sánchez Bustillo, next to the Reina Sofía Museum, in Madrid. The event has been free and we have also been able to see and play with Marc Gasol. Marc, who is world champion and twice Olympic runner-up in basketball, has shared games with the kids, signed autographs and shared his successes with the audience.
The objective of the event, after having signed up for the welcome tent in the company of an adult, was complete a passport with four tests and access a bag full of prizes. To make the event even more attractive, there were basketball matches in 3x3 league format, in two age groups, children from 8 to 11 years old and from 12 to 14 years old.
We have also measured the height, comparing ourselves with Gasol, and we have measured our hands with theirs, what a great hand! I think the most demanded attraction was in which the little ones hanging on harnesses had to hit some balls, one of them was giant!
We have passed a splendid Saturday morning enjoying the Caser event, from the presence of Marc Gasol and especially having fun with basketball.
