Strip sandal

Disadvantages: In terms of my experience, it is not usually a comfortable sandal for young children. If it is the first time you wear it, it usually causes some rejection because it is not a "natural" way of wearing a shoe. It is difficult to run with them.
The wide strip sandals
I have always associated this type of sandals to the pools, they are together with the crabs, the oldest models.
Advantages: great variety of models, cheap and not as annoying as the previous ones. They are very easy to put by the little ones without needing our help. You don't have to take off your shoes to remove the sand inside.
Disadvantages: not going closed, they run off and it is easy to lose them.
Mountain sandals
These sandals are usually designed to be used on any type of terrain and to perform any activity. They are closed and therefore do not come out easily. Advantages: They usually have an ergonomic sole and not as flat as the rest, which helps our children's feet. It is not necessary to change shoes depending on where we are going, they can be with them all day. Disadvantages: They are the most expensive, although their cost is usually amortized. They are more complicated, but not too much, to put without the help of an adult and you have to take off your shoes to remove the sand.
Crocs
The last type to reach our markets and for me will always be "hospital clogs." Advantages: they are very light and as Fran de la Jungla has shown in their program, they also work for any type of terrain. Disadvantages: depending on the material with which they are made it can be overheated.
Sports shoe
It is used year-round, they are comfortable, they close the foot and serve any terrain.

The crabs
The great-great-grandfathers of the pool sandal. If you have spent your childhood in the 80's you have had a pair of them safe, plastic sandals of several strips and with closure. It was the sandal that you put on June 15 and you took it off on September 15, it didn't matter if you went to the beach, mountains, the pool or compared with your parents, you went with the crabs on. Another thing we liked was to leave a mark on the sand taking advantage of the characteristic drawing of its sole.
Disadvantages: After an afternoon in the sun, you had to put them in the water to be able to put them on and when wearing a metal buckle, more than one ended up with it marked on fire in the ankle. So you learned to keep them covered. Now it is not because there are thousands of different models and more this summer that have become fashionable again, but in my time there were four colors, red, brown, white and blue, so more than one day you were leaving Home with your friend's crabs on. The brown marks that left you gave away the footwear you wore to the league.
Advantages: Very resistant and all terrain.
Remember anyway that for the little ones, it is best that they can be barefoot whenever possible.
