Flock of biscuit sheep and cheese topping. Recipe to make with children

As the first weekend we had a great time my niece and I making the heart cookies, we have repeated and we have done it again. On this occasion we have prepared a flock of biscuit sheep with a cheese topping for wool. You will see how much you like them.

The day we made them, we had a lot of fun, but the best thing was after because these cookies have been very successful. Since that day, they have been breakfast for my family and we don't have one left. It will be necessary to return to make another flock, but it will be with another recipe. I hope you dare to do them and tell me.

Ingredients for about 15 sheep cookies

  • For the cookies: 200 g of butter in ointment, 80 g of glass sugar, 1 medium egg, 260 g of flour, 40 g of ground almonds
  • For the cheese covering with which we will make the wool: 2 cheese in portions, 1 egg white, 100 g of glass sugar and a few drops of lemon

How to make a flock of cheese-covered biscuit sheep

As in any cookie recipe we start making the dough, for which we will mix all the ingredients working them well until you can form a ball. Then, we extend a kitchen film, put the ball on top and cover with another kitchen film.

With a roller we stretch the dough between the two plastics until making a mass of half a cm high approximately. Once stretched, we put it in the fridge for about 40 minutes so that it hardens a little and it is easier to cut the cookies without deforming them.

With a sheep-shaped cutter, --recognize that it is beautiful - we cut the cookies until the dough ends. With the cuts, we make a ball, we stretch it again and continue until there is no more. We place the cookies on a baking sheet covered with baking paper and the we cook at 180º until they start to brown. We cool them on a rack to decorate them.

To make the glaze with which we will decorate our sheep, we mix the ingredients well, beat vigorously and decorate the cookies carefully so as not to leave. That task can be done by children. With your help, we extend the coverage simulating sheep wool of the flock.
